Historical Overview

The beginning of the Six-Day War, marked the start of one of the most consequential conflicts in the modern Middle East. Initiated by a massive, preemptive Israeli airstrike (Operation Focus) that destroyed the bulk of the Egyptian air force on the ground, the war rapidly escalated. Within just six days, Israel captured the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights, permanently altering the region's geopolitical landscape.
