湖州市博物館藏清代太平軍鐵刀。湖州市區小河頭疏浚河道時出土。刀身爲鐵製,柄爲紫檀木,雕刻的主體紋飾爲“獅子繡球”和“龍鳳紋”,以回紋飾邊框。該鐵刀經鑑定是太平天國將領用過的遺物,工藝精美。

The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, later shortened[2] to Heavenly Kingdom or Heavenly Dynasty,[note 3] was an unrecognized oppositional state in China and Christian-Shenic theocratic absolute monarchy from 1851 to 1864, supporting the overthrow of the Qing dynasty by Hong Xiuquan and his followers. The unsuccessful war it waged against the Qing is known as the Taiping Rebellion.
